Samsung Wallet Opens USDC Transfers to 82 Million Galaxy Phones
Samsung Wallet's USDC feature is live on 82 million compatible Galaxy devices, letting eligible US users buy, hold, send and receive the stablecoin without a separate crypto app. Circle also notched a win onchain: tokenized CRCL stock hit roughly $378 million in combined market value, making it the biggest tokenized company.
Stablecoins just walked through the front door of Samsung's phone. The Samsung Wallet USDC rollout is officially live, and it reaches 82 million compatible Galaxy devices across the US. Eligible users can buy, hold, send and receive USDC without downloading a single extra crypto app — the same wallet they already use for cards, boarding passes and IDs.
Transfers run on Solana, with Bastion handling the stablecoin plumbing and Coinbase guarding the assets through its Prime Vault. Samsung isn't charging a transfer fee, though other providers in the chain may tack on their own. The feature is limited to eligible US residents aged 18 and up, New York is excluded, and devices need Android 13 or later.
The international angle is the real headline. Samsung Wallet supports USDC transfers to qualifying bank accounts in more than 60 countries, with recipients paid out in their local currency — no crypto wallet required on their end. Samsung has also named Sui as an infrastructure partner as the service grows, and says it's eyeing online and in-store stablecoin payments plus expansion into more markets down the road.
While Samsung was flipping the switch, Circle was racking up a different kind of score. Castle Labs data sourced from CoinGecko showed CRCL tokenized stock at roughly $378 million in combined market value on November 5, spread across five platforms: bStocks, xStocks, Ondo Global Markets, Reality and Robinhood. That puts Circle ahead of SpaceX, at $322.3 million, and Alphabet, at $245.5 million, as the largest tokenized company by market value.
Token Terminal flagged the run earlier, posting that tokenized CRCL sat at $385.7 million as of October 25, up 2,961.3% over the past year. One caveat worth knowing: those products are tokenized exposure to Circle Internet Group shares, not five separate classes of stock. Underlying shares are typically held through brokers and custodians while blockchain tokens track their value, and token holders don't automatically inherit the same shareholder rights as traditional stockholders.
Don't expect to trade tokenized equities inside Samsung Wallet just yet — the company hasn't announced support for that, and the current integration sticks to stablecoins. But if USDC payments push beyond the US and pick up spending features, Circle gets another distribution channel for its dollar coin, running parallel to a tokenized equity market that's growing on its own.
