How we report the news.
The standards every Paparazzi story is held to, from the first check to the last correction.
Real news only
We publish reports of specific, recent events. Opinion pieces, adverts, press-release filler and evergreen explainers are turned away before they reach the site.
Sources come first
Every story links to the outlets that reported it. When two or more independent outlets confirm a story, it is marked as confirmed. A story that starts from a single social post is labelled as developing until an outlet reports it too.
Written with AI, checked by rules
Stories are written by the Paparazzi desk with AI, from the reporting of the original outlets. The desk keeps to the facts in those reports and does not add claims of its own. Every story says it was written with AI.
Trust is scored in the open
Each story shows a trust score based on who reported it and how many outlets confirm it. See exactly how it's worked out.
Reader tips are verified the same way
Stories sent in by readers go through the same checks as our own. Readers are only rewarded for stories that pass, and false or copied tips cost them reputation.
We fix mistakes in public
When a story is wrong, we correct it and say what changed. Every correction is listed in our corrections log. To report an error, contact the newsroom.
Not financial advice
We report on markets, stocks and crypto, but nothing we publish is financial advice. Do your own research before you invest.
