Longs take the beating as $32.26M in crypto positions vanish in one hour
A one-hour window ending 7:45 a.m. ET on Nov. 5 saw $32.26 million in crypto liquidations across Binance, Bybit and OKX, and 99% of it came from long positions. Ether led the damage at $11.14 million, with Bitcoin and Solana trailing behind.
Traders watched $32.26 million in crypto positions get wiped out in a single hour, and the pain was almost entirely one-sided. Long positions made up 99% of the total liquidated in the hour ending 7:45 a.m. ET on Nov. 5, according to a TokenPost tally of public liquidation data from Binance, Bybit and OKX.
The raw count: 4,696 liquidation events across those three venues, split into $31.95 million in longs and just $310,000 in shorts. Shorts barely registered, which means the damage landed on traders betting on higher prices while the market moved against them.
Ether took the heaviest single-asset hit at $11.14 million, ahead of Bitcoin at $8.90 million and Solana at $2.19 million. Binance posted the biggest exchange total in the collected data, while Ether topped the asset breakdown.
One caveat worth keeping in mind: the figure covers only Binance, Bybit and OKX, so it is a snapshot of three venues rather than the whole market. Liquidation totals elsewhere could push the real number higher.
All amounts reflect liquidation value during the hour before the cutoff and exclude activity on any exchange outside the three counted. TokenPost compiled the numbers from public liquidation feeds rather than a marketwide aggregator.
