XRP Adds 7,934 Wallets in a Day While Price Sits Stuck Near $1.25
The XRP Ledger just logged 7,934 new wallets in a single day — more than double its 30-day average — while payment volume jumped from about 229 million to 1.33 billion XRP. Yet XRP is still stuck near $1.25, pinned below the $1.50 to $1.60 resistance zone. Growing adoption, stubborn chart.
Wallet creation on the XRP Ledger just spiked hard, but the token's price isn't playing along. XRP is trading near $1.25, still hunting for bullish momentum. According to Santiment data cited by Coinpedia, the network logged 7,934 new wallets on November 1, the sixth-biggest single-day jump of 2026. That's more than double the recent 30-day average of roughly 3,500 new accounts — and it landed on a Sunday, usually one of crypto's sleepiest days.
Payment flow tells a similar story. XRPScan data shows reported payment volume jumping from about 229 million XRP to 1.33 billion XRP inside 24 hours. That's a roughly fivefold pop in transaction activity. The catch: it's unclear whether it's real organic payments, big wallet shuffles or exchange-related movement, according to the report.
There's a backdrop of broader market unease, too. Coinpedia points to a Binance security breach involving approximately $6.3 billion in stolen assets, which has triggered significant customer outflows from the exchange. Binance has since said XRP is among the assets fully backed at a minimum 1:1 ratio in its latest Proof of Reserves check. That reassures holders — it doesn't create fresh buyers.
On the technical side, XRP keeps banging its head against the $1.50 to $1.60 resistance zone and sliding back toward $1.23 to $1.26, the immediate support band on the weekly chart. The weekly Bollinger bands put price near the middle, where a bounce is expected to avoid a deeper bearish turn. Meanwhile the weekly MACD shows bullish pressure fading toward a bearish crossover.
The two paths are clean. Hold $1.23 and steady buying could open a run at $1.50 to $1.60, with a breakout above that strengthening the recovery. Lose $1.23 on a weekly close and $0.9947 comes into view — failing there would further weaken the structure.
Longer term, the adoption case keeps building: Ripple's regulatory progress, banking ties, institutional custody work, tokenization and an expanding XRPL DeFi ecosystem. None of it converts automatically into buy orders for XRP. The fundamentals look constructive; the chart still looks cautious. The next big move hinges on whether all those new wallets and payments ever show up as sustained demand.
