Trump Backs Rogers, Paxton and Sullivan in Senate Endorsement Sweep

Trump rolled out the endorsements Tuesday, backing Republican Senate candidates Mike Rogers in Michigan, Ken Paxton in Texas and Dan Sullivan in Alaska, according to Breaking The News. The nods came in separate social media posts as the midterm elections loom.

He didn't stop at the picks. Trump went after Rogers' Democratic opponent, Abdul El-Sayed, and Paxton's rival, James Talarico, accusing both of lining up behind higher taxes and open borders. The attacks signal the president plans to play offense, not just hand out stamps of approval.

In Alaska, Trump raised an unusual alarm, saying "The Dumocrats are trying to steal this Race by putting a FAKE Daniel J. Sullivan, Jr. on the Ballot." He added that "People will not be able to figure it out, and many Votes will be lost." Trump didn't offer evidence for the claim.

He had warmer words for the incumbent he's backing, calling Sullivan a "GREAT man" who has "ALWAYS delivered for Alaska." Trump also reminded followers he carried the state in 2016, 2020 and 2024, which he described as wins by big margins.

The list stretched beyond those three. Trump also endorsed Senator Roger Marshall in Kansas and Congresswoman Ashley Hinson in Iowa, part of a broader slate of Republican candidates he's throwing support behind this cycle.

For Rogers, Paxton and Sullivan, the nods put them in the president's good graces heading into primary and general election fights. For their opponents, it means a very loud target on their backs.
