Mystery Wallet Drops $575M of Bitcoin on Binance in $1.1B Whale Wave
An unidentified wallet dumped 7,499 Bitcoin worth $575.1 million onto Binance early Tuesday, the biggest of five whale moves that shifted $1.10 billion in three hours. USDT, TRX, USDC and DOGE also flew between wallets. Only two legs touched exchanges at all.
An unidentified wallet dropped 7,499 Bitcoin on Binance early Tuesday, a haul worth $575.1 million. The coins landed at 1:04 a.m. ET on Nov. 3, according to tokenpost.com. It was the single biggest move in a five-transfer burst that pushed $1.10 billion across the crypto map in just three hours, with the window running through 4:01 a.m. ET.
The whale activity didn't stop at Bitcoin. At 1:21 a.m. ET, 150,006,076 Tether worth $149.8 million slid from Aave into an unknown wallet, while 400 million TRON worth $128.4 million hopped between unnamed wallets at the same minute. Then 205,319,004 USDC worth $205.4 million moved wallet-to-wallet at 3:09 a.m. ET, and a final 564,253,393 Dogecoin worth $41.6 million left Gate for parts unknown at 3:57 a.m. ET.
That Bitcoin deposit was the only identified exchange inflow in the whole cluster. The Dogecoin move out of Gate was the lone identified exchange withdrawal. Add the Gate and Aave legs together and $191.4 million headed toward unknown wallets.
The direction is a full flip from a day earlier, when 3,000 Bitcoin left Binance for an unknown wallet and led its own group of large transfers. A wallet transfer on its own doesn't prove what the owner plans to do with the coins, so the runway is open on whether this Bitcoin gets traded, held or moved again.
