Chainlink's Asian equity feeds now cover six exchanges
Chainlink expanded its APAC Equities Streams to China, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan and Hong Kong, taking the product from two exchanges to six. The combined markets represent more than 40 trillion dollars. The update gives on-chain builders a single source for major Asian stock data.
Chainlink has widened its APAC Equities Streams to five Asian markets, covering China, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan and Hong Kong. The combined equity markets are worth more than 40 trillion dollars. Chainlink announced the expansion on November 3, 2026, turning a two-exchange product into a six-exchange one.
The original version went live on June 22, 2026, with only the Tokyo Stock Exchange and South Korea's KRX. That first cut gave developers data on names such as Samsung and SK Hynix. The new update adds the Shanghai Stock Exchange, Shenzhen Stock Exchange, Taiwan Stock Exchange and Hong Kong Exchange. Chainlink's documentation now lists all six venues as available.
The feeds focus on heavyweight technology and consumer companies, including TSMC, Tencent and BYD. Each stream carries low-latency mid prices, bid and ask data, and market status indicators for each exchange's trading hours. Prices are quoted in local currencies, not converted into one base currency. The streams use Chainlink's RWA Advanced (v11) schema.
There is a built-in limit: the streams run only during standard exchange trading hours. When Shanghai or Tokyo closes for the day, the feed stops too. The market status indicators matter here. A derivatives platform can tell when an exchange is shut and pause liquidations or adjust pricing instead of acting on stale numbers.
Lighter, Jupiter Exchange and Predict.fun are already using the streams for on-chain equity markets and related products. Chainlink launched 24/5 US Equities Streams in January 2026, then added Japan and South Korea in June. Five months later, the rest of the region's major exchanges joined. The broader goal is to move traditional asset pricing onto blockchain networks for derivatives and tokenized real-world assets, with one common data source for six exchanges instead of feeds stitched together market by market.
