Binance Thaws SHIB and Dozens of Tokens After Heist Freeze
Binance has flipped withdrawals back on for Shiba Inu and dozens of other tokens, including 32 on Ethereum and 22 on Solana, as it claws its way back from a major attack. SHIB, Chainlink, Worldcoin, Bonk and Pump.fun are among the assets users can finally move again.
Binance is switching the lights back on. The exchange has restored withdrawals for Shiba Inu (SHIB) and dozens of other tokens, days after a major attack forced it to freeze a huge chunk of its services, per an announcement released today.
The unwind is happening network by network. On Ethereum, 32 tokens are once again withdrawable, including Ethena (ENA), Ethena USDe (USDE), Pendle (PENDLE), Worldcoin (WLD), Chainlink (LINK), Ondo (ONDO) and Bitcoin (BTC). Binance says several Ethereum-based stablecoins had already been unlocked earlier.
Solana users got their turn too. Withdrawals are live again for 22 Solana-based assets, among them Pump.fun (PUMP), Render (RENDER), Raydium (RAY), Bonk (BONK), Jupiter (JUP) and Dogwifhat (WIF).
The mess started with what Binance has described as an unprecedented crypto heist — one that rattled the wider market and left the world's biggest exchange by volume scrambling to contain the fallout. Restoring withdrawals is the clearest sign yet that its security teams are clearing the backlog.
Not everything is back. Plenty of coins are still locked down while checks continue, and Binance says it will bring more assets and networks online in phases rather than all at once.
For SHIB holders who have been staring at a frozen balance, that phased approach is the roadmap: one asset at a time, as each security check gets signed off.
