Belong's Long Events lets AI agents buy event data for $0.005 in USDC

AI agents just got a new way to pay: in crypto. According to Cointelegraph, belongnet's Long Events now lets autonomous agents buy event data directly, settling each request in USDC on Base.

The product ships with 16 MCP tools built for searching event schedules across 400 cities, giving agents a broad map of what's happening and when. Each individual API call carries a price tag of $0.005 in USDC on Base.

That sub-penny pricing is the point. It turns event lookups into an on-demand, pay-per-call service that an AI agent can trigger without a contract, an invoice or a human in the loop.

The launch sits at the intersection of two fast-moving trends: AI agents that act on their own, and crypto rails built for tiny, machine-speed payments. Stablecoins on low-cost networks like Base are shaping up as the default wallet for that kind of traffic.

MCP tools have become a common way to plug AI models into outside services, and belongnet is betting event data is a natural fit. With 400 cities covered, the pitch is scale from day one.
