NYSE Signs Four More Transfer Agents for Tokenized Securities Push
The NYSE is pulling more backers into its new tokenized securities venue, adding Broadridge, Computershare, Equiniti and Superstate as transfer agent partners, per Cointelegraph. They join Securitize and tZERO, giving the exchange a deep bench of shareholder-record keepers as tokenized equities move closer to mainstream trading.
The New York Stock Exchange keeps stacking its roster. According to Cointelegraph, the exchange has named Broadridge, Computershare, Equiniti and Superstate as transfer agent partners for its new tokenized securities venue. That brings the partner list to six, with Securitize and tZERO already on board.
Transfer agents are the back-office linchpins of public markets. They track who owns what, handle share transfers and keep the official shareholder register. Wiring that function into a tokenized venue matters because tokenized stock still needs a real, auditable record of ownership behind every digital claim.
The additions also signal the NYSE is courting established market infrastructure, not just crypto-native firms. Broadridge, Computershare and Equiniti are long-time fixtures in traditional securities servicing, while Superstate sits on the blockchain side of the same problem. Securitize and tZERO round out the crypto-leaning half of the group.
Big exchanges have been inching toward tokenized equities as a way to settle trades faster and open up round-the-clock trading. Whether the NYSE's venue ends up reshaping how shares change hands is still an open question. For now, the exchange is assembling the plumbing first.
