Longs Wiped Out as $62.56M in Crypto Positions Liquidated in One Hour
A brutal 60-minute stretch hammered crypto traders, with $62.56 million liquidated across Binance, Bybit and OKX. Longs bore 99% of the damage, and Ether, Bitcoin and Solana led the carnage. The figures cover only three exchanges, so the true toll may be bigger.
Crypto traders got torched in a single hour. Exchanges liquidated $62.56 million worth of positions across Binance, Bybit and OKX in the 60 minutes ending 12:49 p.m. ET on Nov. 2, according to tokenpost.com, and the pain was almost entirely one-sided: longs made up 99% of the wreckage.
The split tells the story. Long positions accounted for $62.19 million of the total, while shorts contributed just $370,000. All told, 9,185 individual liquidation events fired off in that window — a stampede of forced exits as leveraged bulls got shown the door.
Binance carried the heaviest load by far, with $42.12 million liquidated on its books. OKX followed at $14.83 million, and Bybit rounded out the trio at $5.62 million.
By asset, Ether took the hardest hit at $17.09 million, edging out Bitcoin at $15.06 million. Solana wasn't far behind, with $6.66 million in positions wiped out.
One caveat worth keeping in mind: these numbers only cover Binance, Bybit and OKX. They are not a market-wide tally, so the real damage across all venues could be larger.
