Ghazi Launches Supply Chain, a B2B Distribution and Rights Platform
Ghazi, the founder of indie label and distribution company Empire, has launched Supply Chain, a B2B cloud-based distribution and rights management business for the global music industry. The Amsterdam-headquartered company, which emerged from beta in 2025, has named Craig May and Kristy May to senior leadership roles and counts Beatport-owned Ampsuite as a launch partner.
Ghazi, the founder of the independent label and distribution company Empire, has unveiled Supply Chain, a B2B cloud-based distribution business aimed at the global music industry. The company bundles technology, distribution, operations and commercial connectivity into a single platform, according to the announcement. Its international headquarters are in Amsterdam, described as one of Europe's most connected music and technology hubs.
Supply Chain has named two senior leaders alongside the launch: Craig May as SVP of marketing and Kristy May as SVP of business affairs. The company said it spent five years in development, launched in beta in 2025 and is now operating globally. Ghazi described the project as a labor of love built to be as scalable and future-proof as possible.
The platform's stated mission is to provide neutral, enterprise-grade infrastructure to independent music businesses without requiring them to surrender control of their catalogs, data, client relationships or commercial choices. Ghazi told Variety that a fully developed rights management system also needs cultural nuance, arguing that an independent label in Brazil, an artist in India and a private equity firm with $500 million invested in catalogs all have different needs. Supply Chain handles contracts, master royalties, publishing royalties, merch royalties and split payments, he said.
Supply Chain said it is already working with clients across the industry ecosystem, including a launch partnership with Ampsuite, which is owned by Beatport. Beatport CEO Matt Gralen said Ampsuite offers the most complete set of tools for the labels that power the platform, but that the company is always looking to offer more as the industry evolves. He described Supply Chain as a partner with advanced features out of the box and the ambition to build for the future of the business.
Ghazi framed the launch around operational efficiency, saying the software reduces technical friction and, in doing so, allows creativity to flourish. He positioned the product as built specifically for independents and designed to connect and serve that community. The company's broader vision, per the announcement, is a world in which independent music has the power to shape its own future.
