A seventh person has been arrested in connection with a shooting on a Black Country street, according to West Midlands Police. The man, aged 27, was arrested on Saturday evening on suspicion of possession of a firearm, following the disturbance on Temple Road in Willenhall at about 17:45 BST on Friday.
Six other men had already been arrested on suspicion of affray as part of the same investigation. Police said one person was hurt in the incident, but no one is believed to have suffered gunshot injuries.
All seven men have since been released on bail with conditions while enquiries continue. Temporary Ch Insp Kate Tromans of Walsall Police said officers understood the concern the violent incident had caused in the community.
Tromans said there would be more visibility from officers in the area on the day of her statement and over the coming days, to reassure residents and give them the chance to speak to police. She added that the Major Crime Unit was working to establish the full circumstances of what happened and to bring everyone involved into custody.
The investigation remains ongoing, with police appealing for anyone with information to come forward as officers maintain a presence in the Willenhall area.
